Dr. Bob was a MD internal medicine, orthomolecular doctor, MD psychiatrist, chiropractor, and healer 65 years. The following are Dr. Bob’s orthomolecular recommendations to increase cellular permeability: There are often deficiencies such as zinc and magnesium in chronic fatigue. There may be insufficiency of delivery of nutrients from red blood cells. Increasing permeability is a method to help get nutrients into cells and waste out of cells.
The following are Dr. Bob’s recommendations to decrease pain:
A. 5-10 mg of vitamin B12 in am and pm. Vitamin B12 has shown benefits in decreasing pain, especially pain involving the nerves. If the muscles ache, then the nerves are also affected. It also is used in high doses to increase energy, another benefit that a person with chronic fatigue can benefit from it. B-12 is also involved with red blood cells, the delivery system of cell tissues. Dr. Bob recommended these high doses to get the benefits and effects of vitamin B12 in chronic fatigue You can consider sublingual vitamin B-12 for better absorption.
B. 6-10 grams of vitamin C spread out over 3 or more doses daily. 10 grams of vitamin C has shown the benefit of decreasing pain.
Dr. Bob recommended improving digestion for chronic fatigue. A great deal of the bodies’ energy is spent on digestion. Optimizing digestion can save a great deal of the bodies’ ATP energy (the chemical energy of the body) by making digestion more efficient
1. Use apple cider vinegar 1-3 tablespoons before meals. This helps stimulate the bodies acid needed to digest food in the stomach. You can use litmus paper to measure the bodies’ pH (a measure of the acid and alkaline balance of the body) to help pick an optimal apple cider vinegar dose. If the salvia litmus paper reading shows a purple color and score of 7.5 or higher, you are improperly too alkaline. If you are too alkaline you are likely not producing enough acid for stomach digestion. 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar may help increase the stomach acid you need for digestion. If the salvia pH is 7.0 or less, then 1 tablespoon is probably enough.
2. 20 minutes after your meal ends, use 1/8th to 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water. The baking soda added to water creates bicarb (such as the bubbles in sodas). Bicarb neutralizes acid. You need the acid to digest food in the stomach, but you do not want that acid entering the small intestine during digestion. The bicarb created by adding water and baking soda together will neutralize this acid.
3. Consider digestive enzymes at the same time as the bicarb. The enzymes will aid digestion.
Note - When the body is to alkaline, such as 7.5 litmus paper reading, the body does not have enough hydrogen. The body needs hydrogen and one source it will use is red blood cells. A person low in energy needs optimal red blood cells to help deliver nutrients and transport out waste. A person with chronic fatigue cannot afford the loss of iron and red blood cells used to donate hydrogen that are lacking by the body. Using litmus paper to measure salvia and/or urine pH to see if the score is 7.5 can help you determine if you are lacking sufficient hydrogen.
