Migraine Protocol |
Dr. Bob Rhondell Gibson was a M.D. internal medicine, orthomolecular doctor, M.D. psychiatrist, chiropractor, and healer for 65 years. He was a diabetic who lived to 108 years with only 1 side effect 2 years before he passed away. Dr. Bob practiced a system of medicine called orthomolecular medicine. It is a system of medicine that uses mainly natural substances that are non-toxic and safe in wide range of doses. It uses mainly herbs and minerals/vitamins.
Dr. Bob recommended the following for migraines:
Sleep 7.5 hours or less each night. A primary book on sleep called, “Sleep and Wakefulness” by Nathaniel Kleitman describes experiments where migraines were successfully treated by limiting sleep to 7.5 hours or less. Dr. Bob agreed that sleep cycles could be important in migraines. Sleeping longer could add an extra 90 minute sleep cycle, which can be causing changes in body chemistry. This last sleep cycle involves REM sleep and is an inflammatory period. There is also more constriction of blood vessels going on during this stage of sleep. For all these reasons Dr. Bob recommended not to sleep more then 7.5 hours daily if you suffer from migraines. He also added this is an overlooked cure for migraines. Dr. Bob started as a MD in the 1930’s and said doctors at the time knew sleeping less than 7.5 hours could be used to successfully treat migraines. He said this treatment is now forgotten by the newest generation of doctors
NOTE – In order for these nutritional ideas to be successful, you must use supplements of the highest quality. Dr. Bob often said, “Almost all supplement companies produce poor quality.” You can consider the product page of this web site. Almost all the products met Dr. Bob’s approval. Since he passed away we have attempted to keep the same high standards.
