Cancer
is a progressive disease. The more
it advances, the more likely it will be lethal.
The main idea is tumors do not kill, but tumors spreading do kill.
For example, tabloids often contain stories describing tumors weighing 20
pounds or more being removed, and the patient leaving the hospital with a clean
slate of health. However, once a tumor starts to spread, it is usually lethal.
There
are different remission rates in cancer, depending on the type of cancer and the
stage it is discovered. This
article is going to focus on specific strategies to combat cancer in the most
lethal stages, when it is spreading. The
nutritional information is directed at cancer when it is rampant and spreading
wildly. This article is
examining orthomolecular strategies, when cancer is winning the fight.
Orthomolecular medicine is a system of medicine practiced by medical MD’s.
It is a system of medicine using non-toxic, natural substances, which are
safe in a wide range of dose. It
uses mainly herbs, vitamins, and minerals.
Malnutrition
~ Cancer
It
is estimated by some researchers and scientists, that approximately 40% of all
cancer patients die from improper digestion, such as malnutrition, not cancer.
The body is not processing the food you eat.
It means you starve to death, even if you are eating.
There
are methods to improve digestion and metabolism, to help food to be processed,
handled, and properly utilized. This
can possibly save many cancer patients from death by wasting away.
The basic method suggested to
improve digestion, by a digestive enzyme protocol.
This means using digestive enzymes to help digest food.
The following is a digestive protocol used by Dr. Bob.
Dr. Bob was a MD internal medicine, orthomolecular doctor, MD
psychiatrist, chiropractor, and healer 65 years.
He was a diabetic who lived to 108 years with only 1 side effect 2 years
before he passed away. Dr. Bob
practiced a system of medicine called orthomolecular medicine.
It is a system of medicine that uses mainly natural substances that are
non-toxic and safe in wide range of doses.
It uses mainly herbs and minerals/vitamins.
Dr. Bob’s orthomolecular method to help improve digestion
1.
30 minutes before meal - 1-3 tablets of pancreatic compounds. Some pancreatic enzyme tablets Dr. Bob advised are papaya,
bromelain, and pepsin. The reason
for starting the pancreatic enzymes 30 minutes before eating is to help the
pancreas not overreact to food.
2.
At end of meal (the last bite) – ¼ - ½ tablespoon of supplement OKG
and 2-3 pancreatic capsules. Read
the article, "Supplements for Exercise and Diabetics," on this web
site to learn the beneficial effects of OKG supplementation.
In addition, Dr. Bob advised 1 tablet of calcium pyruvate at the end of
meals. Dr. Bob advised calcium pyruvate because it helps burn fat, which aids in
blood fat metabolism. Calcium
pyruvate is recommended only A.M. and P.M.
3.
45 minutes after your first bite of food - after you take your first bite
of food the following should occur close to 45 minutes afterwards.
Dr. Bob advised 1-4 pancreatic tablets and 5 grams of baking soda.
The baking soda helps produce an alkaline environment for digesting food.
A slightly alkaline environment optimizes digestion.
The digestion needs to be alkaline about 45 minutes after you begin
eating.
4.
During mealtime - Dr. Bob advised adding 5 grams of "multi"
fiber at every meal. Drink plenty
of water whenever you add fiber supplements.
Do not add fiber for colon cancer, it is counter indicated. Consult with your doctor before adding any fiber supplements,
when you have cancer or digestive problems.
Ideas
to help improve digestion and metabolism: processing, handling, and utilizing
food.
1.
Consider using many different digestive enzymes at the beginning of
meals. Use pancreatin at the end of
meals. Pancreatin can help digest
protein. Improper utilization of
protein is considered a potential factor in the creation of cancer cells.
Pancreatin can digest protein, possibly helping to decrease improperly
utilized protein that may be in cells. Enzymes
can also help digest calcium. Improper
amounts of calcium inside cells can lead to inappropriate function inside cells,
leading to tissue changes that can result in cancer cells.
Calcium is also necessary for cell division, and improper amounts of
calcium could possibly lead to stimulating the wild and rampant cell division of
cancer cells. The idea is to
properly utilize calcium and protein inside cells; pancreatin and digestive
enzymes can help accomplish this idea.
2.
Consider eating raw foods as often as possible, they contain enzymes
3.
Consider eating less cooked foods, they often lose their enzymes through
the cooking process. Usually a
person with digestion problems must eat some cooked food.
Consider a ratio of 50-50 cooked and raw food.
4.
Consider eating organic foods whenever possible.
Foods with pesticides add to the total load of toxins in the body.
Healing from cancer requires reducing as much toxicity as possible, not
adding to it by foods that are impure.
5.
Consider drinking pure water, called distilled water.
Spring water, mineral water, and all other water that are not pure adds
to the total load of toxins.
6.
Consider eating 5 or more smaller meals each day.
Smaller meals are easier to digest and require fewer digestive enzymes.
7.
Consider supplementing 100-300mg total of vitamin B6, in divided doses,
each day. Vitamin B6 is necessary
for the digestion of protein. If a
person is wasting away, especially lean tissue and muscle, then vitamin B6 may
be necessary to help digest protein and properly utilize it.
8.
Consider supplementing ion-exchange whey protein concentrate. It is a pre-digested protein supplement that contains 98%
high quality protein. This means it
contains almost all the essential amino acids you need each day to build tissue
and help fight against wasting. It
is easy on digestion, it is pre-digested!
9.
Consider laboratory testing for tryptophan levels.
Tryptophan is an amino acid. Improper digestion can lead to lower
tryptophan levels. Lower tryptophan
levels can lead to decrease in function of metabolism and loss of energy.
Also tryptophan is involved in the production of vitamin B3, so a
reduction in tryptophan levels can lead to niacin deficiency.
Consider a laboratory analysis of B3 levels.
If they are low, read the article in the overlooked cures section of this
web site, entitled Anti-Death Vitamin. It
describes optimal methods to supplement niacin.
It describes the 2-decade study, called the Coronary Drug Project, which
used a dose of 750 mg each day to get its fantastic results.
You might consider 750 mg of niacin each day, in divided doses, as a
minimum dose, using the Coronary Drug Project as a model for niacin
supplementation. Starchy carbohydrates, such as pasta, potatoes, and so on, can
result in lowering amino acid levels in the bloodstream.
However, starchy carbohydrates may increase tryptophan levels in the
bloodstream. Thus starchy
carbohydrates, by inhibiting amino acids, aside from tryptophan, can increase
tryptophan levels in the bloodstream resulting in production of more serotonin.
However, starchy carbohydrates increase tryptophan levels, they do not
synthesize serotonin. Thus, you
also need to eat serotonin foods to replace depleted serotonin.
Some food containing serotonin are bananas, walnuts, avocado, cottage
cheese and tomatoes.
10.
Test your Basal Metabolic Rate, called the BMR, at a doctor’s office.
The BMR measures metabolism. This
simple test can let you know if your metabolic rate is declining.
If it is declining, you need to consider methods that increase the
respiratory processes of cells. Increasing
respiratory processes will normalize the BMR measurement.
Read the articles in the Parkinson’s section and the article “Brain
Degeneration” on this web site to understand methods to improve respiratory
processes. You need to optimize
your metabolism to help process the food you eat.
A.
Consider supplementing soy protein powder to increase BMR.
The thyroid hormones are vital in helping to regulate metabolism.
Dr. Ronald Klatz, president of the anti-aging doctors, the fastest
growing group of doctors in the United States, wrote the book,
Growing Young with HGH. He
describes soy protein; “It naturally boosts the levels of thyroid hormone.”
He also says it contains genisten, “a powerful antioxidant and a
protease inhibitor that provide a double whammy against cancer (page 244).”
Supplement the soy and whey at separate times, since they compete against
each other. Consider supplementing 30-40 milligrams of soy powder.
There are studies showing high levels of genistein, such as hundreds of
milligrams each day, can help or harm you in the fight against cancer.
These are mega doses and you need to consult a doctor who knows what
laboratory tests are needed to determine if high doses of genistein can help you
against cancer.
11.
Consider the supplement TMG. TMG
helps restore the chemical process called methylation.
Improper or inadequate methylation results in improper metabolism of
protein. Supplementing TMG may
result in proper metabolism of some proteins.
In
conclusion, improving digestion and metabolism can result in decreasing
inappropriate functioning in cells, such as improper utilization of protein or
calcium. It can result in stopping
improper digestion, a major cause of death when you have cancer.
Many cancers have survival rates of 20-50% over a 5-year period once the
cancer is discovered. In a 50% survival rate of cancer, improper digestion and
metabolism can be responsible for 40% of the deaths of the 50% of the people who
died. Strictly using a mathematical
basis, 40% of 50% is 20%. So a
cancer survival rate of 50% could be increased to 70% if you could save the ones
who died from digestion problems. There
is a great amount of inappropriate function in cells that can ultimately lead to
cancer cells. Improving digestion
and metabolism can help decrease improper functioning inside cells.
There are many other benefits to improving digestion and metabolism.
Consider consulting with an orthomolecular doctor if you have cancer.
Good luck.
Note-
Successful cancer therapies, whether chemotherapy, alternative therapies, change
in nutrition, or other therapies, if successful are killing cancer cells.
Dead tissue is toxic and also can produce free radicals.
This is a highly toxic condition. If
you are experiencing nausea, headaches, fever, chills, and other symptoms after
starting an anticancer protocol, then be aware you may be experiencing symptoms
from the toxins of dead tissue. You
may need to consider methods to eliminate this dead tissue and other toxins that
may result from them. If you
successfully destroy tumors and do not consider appropriate detox methods, you
may be in serious difficulty from the toxicity resulting from the dead
tissue.
Read
the article on detox, in the cancer section of this web site. Be aware that antioxidants, the supplements silymarin and TMG
to help proper functioning of the liver (the main organ of detox), 12 or more
glasses of pure water (distilled water) to help the kidney detox, amino acids, B
vitamins, the supplement lycopene, multiple bowel movements daily, and other
methods are needed to help detox. Consult
with a doctor who is aware of proper methods to eliminate toxins from your body.
Killing large amounts of tumor cells, without proper detox, can be
considered lethal in some cases.
WARNING-
before starting a digestive enzyme protocol, you should consult with your
doctor. Some therapies may cancel
the effects from each other. You
need to check with your doctor to determine if a digestive enzyme protocol is
proper for your condition.
Note – In order for these nutritional ideas to be
successful, you must use supplements of the highest quality. Dr. Bob often said,
“almost all supplement companies produce poor quality.”
You can consider the product page of this web site. Almost all the
products met Dr. Bob’s approval. Since
he passed away we have attempted to keep the same high standards.
WARNING: DO NOT STOP ANY
