Vitamin C for Ear Problems |
Dr. Bob was a MD internal medicine, orthomolecular
doctor, MD psychiatrist, chiropractor, and healer 65 years.
He was a diabetic who lived to 108 years with only 1 side effect 2 years
before he passed away.
Dr. Bob said vitamin C could be used for ear problems
such as middle ear infections and pain. You can do this by mixing 1/3 teaspoon of vitamin C powder
with 1/2 ounce of water. Then break
a tablet of alpha lipoic acid until you get about 100 mg. Grind this 100 mg and add it to the vitamin C powder mixed
into the water. Using an eyedropper
you put this in the ear.
Dr. Bob said this is especially for children.
Dr. Bob said that clinically, antibiotics for middle ear infections make
them worse and hurt more. He said
the reason doctors still give antibiotics or shots for middle ear problems in
children is they feel like they must appear to do something.
In other words the parent arrives with his distressed child. The doctor should tell the parent he could not do anything
for the child. Most doctors
instead, to appear as if something is being done for the child, give antibiotics
or shots. Dr. Bob says, "this
is a case where the doctor should do nothing."
Dr. Bob advised treatment as soon as possible.
If infection gets out of control antibiotics may still be necessary for
secondary infection.
Dr. Bob also recommended using rubbing alcohol to
wipe the inner ear. Do this every
couple of hours. This will keep the
ear dry and help the problems of the ear. Dr.
Bob advised this usually only helped at the beginning stages of the earache.
Note
– In order for these nutritional ideas to be successful, you must use
supplements of the highest quality. Dr. Bob often said, “almost all supplement
companies produce poor quality.” You
can consider the product page of this
web site. All the products met Dr. Bob’s approval.
Since he passed away we have attempted to keep the same high standards on
new products.
