Irritable Bowel Syndrome |
Dr. Bob was a MD internal medicine, orthomolecular
doctor, MD psychiatrist, chiropractor, and healer 65 years.
He was a diabetic who lived to 108 years with only 1 side effect 2 years
before he passed away.
Dr. Bob attempted to improve the condition of
irritable bowel syndrome by using several methods. He started off with method number 1 and method number 2
combined and if this did not work he moved on and added the next method.
He did this until method number 5.
The following are the methods and ideas of Dr. Bob.
If you are planning to use any of them check with your doctor first.
The first thing Dr. Bob said was to drink 2/3 to 1
gallon of distilled water a day. He
said sometimes just doing this could cure IBS.
Dr. Bob advised the following:
1.
Probiotics
is the process of feeding live bacteria to prevent or treat disease.
Dr. Bob advised probiotics, using live bacteria to treat bacteria and
bacteria products. He recommended you eat organic, non-fat yogurt that contained
L. bulgaricus, L. acidophilus, and B. bifidum.
L. bulgaricus is intended to help the GI tract be more suitable for the
survival and growth of L. acidophilus and B. bifidum. L. acidophilus is the main bacteria of the small intestine
while I. bifidum is the primary bacteria of the large intestine.
All three are important, I acidophilus and B. bifidum to help the small
and large intestine and L. bulgaricus, a transient bacteria, to make the other
two work better.
2.
Use
pancreatic digestive enzymes. Bad
fungus and yeast interfere with digestion.
Digestive enzymes sometimes can prevent many allergic and immune problems
involving digestion. Often the
digestive enzymes can break down food until it is non-allergenic.
Combine this with method number 1.
3.
Take
Beano twenty minutes before meals. Beano
is an enzyme that breaks down solids with meals.
Take Lactose enzymes for milk. Some
people cannot digest milk due to Lactose intolerance.
4.
Fiber
should help according to Dr. Bob. There
are different kinds of fiber. The
one he advised for Irritable Bowel Syndrome was Fibercon. Warning:
Fiber may irritate some people, so stop if it is irritating you.
5.
Method
number 5 is to take calcium polycarbophil.
If the first 5 do not work then he advised cutting
out sorbitol. He also recommended
cutting out wheat, sugar, and yeast and reducing caffeine to small amounts or
none.
In
summary, try number 1 and 2 for two weeks.
If this is not successful then use method number 3, in combination with
number 1 and 2, for one to two weeks. Add
number 4 and 5 every one to two weeks.
Additionally:
·
Dr. Bob
often advised the herb ginger for irritable bowel syndrome.
Ginger can help improve many problems in the stomach.
Dr. Bob found that relieving condition’s in the stomach, often relieved
irritable bowel syndrome.
·
Dr. Bob
advised 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda (bicarbonate) mixed in liquid 45 minutes
after you have started a meal. Proper
digestion requires an alkaline environment in the small intestine.
The stomach produces acid. When food enters the small intestine the acid
from the stomach enters also. The
bicarb neutralizes the acid. This
can help digestive enzymes work properly (they cannot function optimally or may
not function at all – when the small intestine is acidic, not alkaline).
Proper digestion can help relieve improper conditions in the gut system.
Note – if you are experiencing symptoms of
diarrhea, read the article "Diarrhea,"in the section called Diarrhea.
There is a remarkable natural product that can help stop or reduce
diarrhea.
Note
– In order for these anti-aging ideas to be successful, you must use
supplements of the highest quality. Dr. Bob often said, “almost all supplement
companies produce poor quality.” You
can consider the product page of this web site. Almost all the products
met Dr. Bob’s approval. Since he
passed away we have attempted to keep the same high standards.
WARNING: DO NOT STOP ANY TREATMENT OR MEDICATION YOU
CURRENTLY USE. CONSULT WITH YOUR
DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING THE USE OF SUPPLEMENTS.
