Someone asked the question "what is the meaning of rate of destruction in the body?" Dr. Bob explained this rate of destruction using arthritis as an example. He said the body is organized and in a state-of-balance at all times. Even illness is a state-of -balance to the toxicity in the body. The body works by cooperation and teamwork to unify itself. Then a disturbing influence like arthritis toxins begin to accumulate at some of the joints, the body must organize (adapt) to handle this situation. For example, the body needs to organize to keep the toxins as localized as possible. The more the toxicity spreads, the more injury to the body is incurred. Another aspect, the body does is detox the arthritic area constantly. The body must constantly dispose of toxicity and debris from this area all the time. There is a lot of waste to get rid of in arthritic areas. Another situation the body must handle is keeping plenty of resources in the area to minimize damage. There is a constant destruction of normal healthy tissue going on by the toxins and the body needs to be in a state-of-readiness at all times to keep up a good fight.

There are many other functions that are also going on. All of these are to do the same thing as all the above examples. The purpose of all of this is to keep the arthritis in a state-of-siege. It is to keep the arthritis as localized and neutralized (balanced) as possible. This all takes energy by the body. The combination of destruction to healthy tissue and the energy and resources used by the body to combat arthritis adds up to the destruction rate of arthritis. You feel this in the form of symptoms such as pain and swelling.

Dr. Bob said all of this equals twice as much destruction occurring in the body versus healing (re-growth) in arthritis.
